Seoul, Korea, September 1, 2025 — Hankook Tire & Technology (hereafter Hankook), a leading global tire company under Hankook & Company Group and exclusive supplier to the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) celebrated the successful conclusion of Round 10, the WRC ueno Rally del Paraguay 2025, which came to a close on August 31 in the southeastern city of Encarnación, Paraguay.
Marking Paraguay’s debut on the WRC calendar, the rally played out over unpredictable stages that mixed soft dirt roads, dense forest tracks, and sudden weather changes brought on by rainfall. With no crews having prior experience of the stages, the ever-changing terrain and conditions made strategic race management and tire control decisive in shaping the final results.
Once again, Hankook played a pivotal role by equipping crews with its extreme all-terrain rally tire, the Dynapro R213, enabling stable performance in unfamiliar conditions. The tire delivered consistent grip and handling precision even at high speeds and under rapidly changing conditions, helping ensure a smooth and successful event.
Toyota GAZOO Racing World Rally Team driver Sébastien Ogier secured victory, marking his fourth win of the 2025 season after earlier successes in Monte Carlo, Portugal, and Sardinia. By managing the rally with precision across demanding conditions, Ogier strengthened his position in the drivers’ championship, where he now holds a clear advantage with two-thirds of the calendar completed.
Round 11 of the 2025 WRC, Rally Chile Bio Bío, will take place from September 11 to 14, centered around the Pacific coastal city of Concepción. The mountainous stages will test drivers with rough terrain and dramatic altitude changes that demand precise acceleration and braking, while coastal stages with strong winds and dense fog are expected to make the outcome highly unpredictable. These formidable conditions are already drawing strong interest from motorsports fans worldwide.
As part of its commitment Hankook has successfully developed high-performance rally tires, officially certified following more than 2,000 km of on-vehicle testing conducted across eight countries in collaboration with the FIA and participating manufacturers. Starting with the 2025 WRC season, the company will serve as the exclusive tire supplier for all competition classes for three years, further strengthening the premium stature of its global integrated brand Hankook.
